The Beijing Platform for Action

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the 4th World Women’s Conference  in Beijing, the US Women’s Caucus is interested in finding out how American women and girls today feel about the what progress has, or has not been made in the United States since the conference as well as what women think are the biggest challenges to achieving progress on American women’s rights in the future.

In 1995 in Beijing, 17,00 women from around the world joined to draft the most comprehensive global agenda for women’s rights, known as. the Beijing Platform for Action. It mapped out 12 critical areas of concern for governments to address. Since that time, there has been progress in many countries, in some areas but much remains to be done.

Please Participate in Our Survey

We are asking for your participation in the survey and hope you will also distribute the survey to all your American members. We are interested in getting the opinion of  American women of all ages, including those younger than 30 years.  We need the feedback from young women who may experience challenges or are involved in advocacy and initiatives in their local communities.

We hope to present the findings from the survey at the next UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in March 2025 and we will be presenting the results to decision makers in the US with recommendation based on the survey.  Note- all Information is confidential and individual information will not be shared.

We want to hear from YOU about what it’s like to be a girl in your community in the US.

We want to amplify the voices of girls including yours! This survey helps us understand what you think about the Beijing Platform and how we can make it work in your community. It even has a special section just for girls, called Section L! Let’s get started and see how you can make a difference!

It is a short survey that takes only a few minutes. Here is the link:
